TwinFlex - ecological and flexible inland shipping catamaran
This small catamaran is designed for the smart and environmentally friendly transport of small cargo along rivers to urban centers, gradually replacing undesirable road transportation. The potential size range varies from 20.0m x 7.5m (100 t loading capacity) to 40.0m x 11.4m (340 t loading capacity).

The catamaran configuration offers:
- A vast, flush loading platform suitable for any type of cargo, including passengers, while the electric propulsion motors, auxiliary equipment, batteries, tanks, and other systems are efficiently housed within the two hulls.
- Maximum stability, minimal hull resistance for propulsion, reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and low propulsion wave (“wash”), allowing for high speeds if required.
- The option to install a crane if needed.
In addition, the concept intrinsically incorporates two-fold flexibility to adapt to the vessel’s future ecosystem, which can span up to 40 years for inland river operations:
- Flexibility of use: The vessel can be converted between cargo transport, passenger services, sightseeing, or cargo bike carriage, and vice versa.
- Flexibility of propulsion type: Equipment can be replaced as needed through temporary openings on the external sides of the hulls, keeping the cargo deck intact. This allows for adaptation to the optimal fuel and machinery types, which may evolve over the vessel’s lifetime.
