Floating Solar Desalination plant

A small Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plant is fitted on a floating structure, adjacent to an array of photovoltaïc panels providing the power for the RO pumps.

The system aims at small coastal and insular communities, and operates at a sufficient distance from shore to avoid coastal pollution of the seawater feed.

The floating structure is based on a innovative concept proven in the aquaculture industry and modular according to the required potable water production capacity.
